In extreme music, there remains a persistent need to confront themes of anxiety and other psychological states. In the duo’s project, these motifs transform into a dialogue between a deliberate exploration of marginal vocal techniques—rooted in the idioms of avant-garde and contemporary music—and their radical processing through digital technologies informed by noise music and current forms of experimental electronics.
A range of screeches and wails evolve into a demanding, all-encompassing composition in which the physicality of performance merges with states of psychic extremity and anxiety.
